Auditions, Callbacks, Rehearsals, and Performances held at the
Community Center in Camarillo

General Audition Requirements:

All actors must register for the Fable Forge Teen Theatre Workshop through the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District. Everyone who registers will be cast in the show – auditions are for role placement only.

Auditions will take place during the first two days of the theatre workshop, and will consist of singing, dancing, and readings from the script. Bring an up-to-date calendar to the audition – you will be asked to list all possible conflicts for the entire rehearsal period! (Actors are not expected to be at every rehearsal – if we know about conflicts ahead of time, we will try to work around them where we can.)

Please bring a water bottle, wear comfortable clothes you can move in easily, and wear jazz shoes, character shoes, sneakers, or other closed-toed shoes that remain securely attached to your feet.

For the singing portion of the audition, prepare a 1 minute song in a style similar to the show (but not from the show itself). Bring a track of your music cut to the correct cue and in the correct key. Your music track should be accompaniment only (no vocals) and be downloaded to your device, or you may email it to us at info@fableforgeplayers.com anytime before noon on January 5.

Other Important Information:

• Callbacks: By invitation only, January 10 from 1-5 pm
• Fees: All cast members must enroll in the Fable Forge Players Teen Theatre Workshop. There is a $285 registration fee with PVRPD, plus a separate materials fee of $50 due directly to Fable Forge Productions. Email us at info@fableforgeplayers.com to ask about our sibling/buddy discount.
• Parent/Guardian Meeting:  on January 12 from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Camarillo Community Center. The cast member and at least one parent/guardian must attend. Scripts will be distributed once the $50 materials fee has been collected and all completed paperwork has been submitted.
• Rehearsals begin January12: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:30 – 9 pm and Sundays from 1-5 pm. Most actors will NOT attend all rehearsals – a detailed rehearsal calendar and weekly call-sheet will be provided after casting.
• Tech Week: March 14-18, 5-9 pm
  Actors and crew must attend all Tech Rehearsals.
• Performances: March 19 & 20 @ 7pm, March 21 @ 3pm
  Actors and crew must be available for all performances.
